Engaging in discussions around end of life, coping with terminal illness, and mourning the loss of a loved one are difficult and bring with it a range of powerful and important emotions.  It may seem counterintuitive at first, but confronting the fear, anxiety and sadness associated with illness and loss can actually strengthen everyone involved.  This program and art exhibit is crafted to guide family members, loved ones and friends to acknowledge their feelings with honesty and to emerge with a sense of tranquility, comfort and peace. To enrich the experience, participants will have the opportunity to engage in a guided art and writing exercise.

Co-authors of “Never Long Enough: Finding Comfort Amidst Grief and Loss” and the forthcoming “Never Long Enough: Coloring/Workbook,” Rabbi Joseph H. Krakoff and Dr. Michelle Y. Sider harness their combined knowledge, compassion and years of experience in the fields of counseling, theology, psychology and art.  Rabbi Krakoff devotes himself to helping people confront end of life issues in a way that brings them closer to the essence and enduring values of their loved ones.  Dr. Sider creatively combines her expertise in art and psychology and blends them in a perfect balance to bring about awareness and soulful healing. This interactive program and art exhibit is certain to be a fitting resource for people in the process of psychological healing and creating a ‘new normal.’
